The Roll Model Method ® & Yoga Tune Up ® classes are designed to hydrate your tissues, create more easeful range of movement and increase your capacity for strength & bodily confidence. This is a playful class with the goal of enhancing functional movement and providing myofascial ease. We warm the tissues with self-myofascial massage, then practice gentle yoga asana often using props to enhance ease or to facilitate therapeutic benefits. Tune Up Fitness balls work with your soft tissue to hydrate & relieve tight sticky spots in the fascia, which is your body’s aqueous knitting fabric, crystalline in nature and holds your whole body together.
About Shari Williams
I love the human form and the magic of movement. I am steeped in Hindu philosophy and have maintained a strong personal meditation & spiritual practice for over 40 years, however my class is predominantly bio-mechanical in nature. I have always been supported by yoga and community throughout a myriad of disruptive events in my personal life, many serious injuries, and bodily changes. It is through these experiences & understanding the impact they have on us that bring a profound level of awareness, compassion and humility to my work. Yoga is my lifeline and I invite you to make it yours.
In love & gratitude…
Holotropic Breathwork is a method that uses the power of the breath and evocative music to facilitate personal growth, healing, and self-discovery. Developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof, this method offers a unique journey into non-ordinary states of consciousness, where participants can explore the depths of their inner worlds for personal transformation.
The benefits of Holotropic Breathwork are numerous; encompassing enhanced self-awareness, emotional release, psychological integration and the potential for profound spiritual and transpersonal experiences. Whether one is seeking healing from past traumas, greater self-understanding, or simply a path to personal growth, Holotropic Breathwork provides a means of self-exploration that can lead to lasting positive change in one’s life.
This Saturday one day workshop runs from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm (approximately) and includes : an opening circle, two holotropic breathwork sessions (oner as a breather and one as a sitter), mandala drawing, group sharing and processing, discussion of post workshop integration and a safe and supportive setting for deep inner work. The workshop also includes a zoom online integration call 7 to 10 days after the workshop.
In some dates there can be a day and a half format in which the first day is same as above, and on Sunday we have a shorter day until 2 pm. On this second day we work with integration practices, like movement, writing, visual arts, time on the land, etc. to deepen, expand, and anchor the experiences from the previous day.
